The date was April 2, 2009, which was seventy-two days into the Obama presidency, and I said,
I said it before, and I’ll say it again. I do not think Barack Obama was ready to be President of the United States, and I still don’t think he’s ready. After the events today, combined with everything else that has happened in the last 72 days, I am more convinced of this than ever.
I worry about the future of our country and I shudder to think what the next four years are going to be like.
At that point, I don’t think anybody had any idea how bad things were going to get. Since then, unemployment levels have risen to extreme heights, we’re on the verge of “health care reform” which can better be described as “your great-great-great-grandchildrens tax burden”, and our President is capitulating to terrorists and showing deference to world leaders.
Back in April, when I posted those words, it was in response to Barack Obama bowing to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia. I am sure you remember the photo.
After the bow, the White House responded accordingly.
The White House is denying that the president bowed to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia at a G-20 meeting in London, a scene that drew criticism on the right and praise from some Arab outlets.
“It wasn’t a bow. He grasped his hand with two hands, and he’s taller than King Abdullah,” said an Obama aide, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
That’s right, they denied that President Obama had indeed bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia with some cockamamy story about height and such.
Remember, Americans (especially their President) should not bow or curtsy to any foreign monarch because the gesture symbolizes recognition of their power over their subjects.
President Obama has proven that after 298 days in office, he doesn’t know how to do his job any better now than he did when he was elected. He has no executive experience, he has no idea how to follow protocol, and he has no intention of representing the United States in a positive manner.
For all we know, President Obama apologized to the emperor for the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki as well as our winning of World War II. What an ASSHAT.
