  • Aria Interactive is the result of 20 years experience in the software development and web design field. In January of 2009, I re-branded Second Rate Hosting to increase exposure and move forward helping companies orchestrate their presence on the Internet. With Aria Interactive I have focused on local area businesses and individuals who are looking build their site from the ground up, or just makeover what they already have.
  • In addition to server administration, my duties also include meeting with customers, learning about their company and ascertaining their needs, scheduling projects for quick completion, and performing usability tests before signing off on the final project. I design and develop customized web solutions, which include complete e-commerce solutions, business and personal blog templates.
  • I provide customized logo designs, document conversion, application design and development, as well as web hosting solutions and website design and implementation for small business and individuals utilizing HTML, CSS, Javascript, XML, . Software Engineer

  • My duties at Link required the planning and implementation of numerous web-based projects where I was responsible for developing customized front and back end solutions for all of Link’s Internet based vehicle tracking systems, airport monitoring systems, as well as the Link corporate website. These duties required the extensive use of HTML, CGI, Javascript, CSS, PHP, and Flash. My responsibilities also included the development of stand-alone Windows based vehicle monitoring and tracking software using Delphi, configuration and implementation of customized server deployments, and end-user training for the systems utilized by police, fire, public safety, and homeland security agencies. I was also responsible for monitoring in-house server load and performance, adjusting parameters and bandwidth as needed.
  • I was instrumental in the development of an ambulance tracking and monitoring system for the University of Maryland Trauma Center which provided route information and estimated arrival time information for critical care patients. While coordinating this project, I utilized HTML, CGI, Javascript and CSS to deliver the best customer experience while providing all of the essential services required by the customer.
  • I developed a front-end web solution for the New Jersey Department Of Transportation using HTML, CSS, PHP, XML, and Javascript. This project allowed for the monitoring of small regional airports through the use of a graphical web interface that accessed LinkÕs on-site cameras and recording devices. I was responsible for developing the initial proof of concept, scope documentation, implementation, and testing of this project.

  • As owner of Second Rate Hosting, I am responsible for server administration in a web hosting environment as well as the development of customer web solutions. My duties also include technical support for more than 100 accounts, scheduling backups, monitoring server processes, and customer billing. Link Communications, Ltd.; Annapolis Junction, MD • July 1998 – December 2000
Contract Programmer

  • As a contractor for Link, which resulted in an offer for full time employment, I developed customized web solutions for their initial Internet based vehicle tracking system. I designed and implemented their new corporate website, recommended server configurations and implementation for web based vehicle tracking applications, and coordinated new corporate intranet and internal servers (dns, vpn, and mail).
  • I was responsible for building the proof of concept customized web-based vehicle tracking system for Fed-Ex which monitored vehicle performance, location, speed, and other vehicle information in real-time. This project involved the use of HTML, CGI, Perl, Javascript, and CSS.

WOOHOO.COM, Self-Employed; Douglasville, GA • May 1998 – December 2000
Owner, Server Administrator, Web Developer

  • As owner of WooHoo, I provided web hosting, design, and nationwide dial-up access. I developed customer websites, maintained servers, developed new server configurations, and implemented document conversions from many different formats to HTML.
  • I developed cross-platform communication from a unix based system to Windows NT for Trism, Inc. which allowed for real-time internal secured instant messaging, shipment booking, tracking, and delivery information. This project required the use of HTML, Javascript, Flash, XML, XSLT, Perl, CSS, and using the Unix shell. WOOHOO.COM was re-branded as Second Rate Hosting in December of 2000.

Slobokan Software, Self-Employed; Las Vegas, NV • January 1988 – May 1998

  • Developed a number of customized shareware and freeware applications for the Windows and MS-DOS platforms, including Secretary-IT, MinuteMath, FreeFive, DateFinder, Color Text Terminal, and HiLo. In May of 1998, I expanded Slobokan Software to include Internet dial-up and web-hosting accounts and re-branded under the WOOHOO.COM name.

  • Responsible for delivery of all interoffice mail from the Clark County Detention Center to other points within the department. Delivered court proceedings and sentences to and from the county clerk’s office and the detention center. Responsible for the hand delivery of paperwork regarding the extradition of fugitives from the detention center to the Fugitive Detail. Served on the committee exploring the option of upgrading the computer systems in the detention center.
