Wiped Out

Today was an emotional day for a lot of people, but it was an awesome day for an awesome person.

The office manager of our church retired after 33 years of service to our parish, and we held a luncheon for her today. There were so many people there that it took 45 minutes just for people to get in the door in the line for food.

The food was awesome too! It was a potluck affair, and although those can be quite “interesting” to say the least, it turned out quite well with a lot of variety.

They looped the video I made so it ran over and over again. At first I thought that might not be a good idea, but after watching people’s reactions I’m really glad they did it that way. A lot of people took a few moments to walk over and view the video, which brought back a lot of memories for a lot of people.

So… Now that I am officially done with that project, I have a new one lined up. My wife and I are having our marriage convalidated in the Catholic Church. It might not sound like a big deal to some people, but it’s a huge deal to us.

More later, after I have rested (and I get caught up on some of the details).
