A Week To Remember

Boo. I think I have writer’s freeze. No, not writer’s block, I just don’t feel like writing tonight. RCIA class was cancelled tonight too. Everything I had scheduled this week was cancelled because of the snow.

Don’t get me wrong, the snow and ice was fun the first day, it was even fun the second day, but once it lingered around long enough to cancel all the other enjoyable events this week it got old.

The dogs are starting to go nuts too. They are used to running out to the back of the yard to do their business within moments, but thanks to the solid sheet of ice in the backyard it now takes them almost 15 minutes just to walk out there and back.

I can tell they are aggravated, but it’s supposed to warm up enough tomorrow that there should be some grassy patches for them to leap around in.

Tomorrow’s going to be a good day. It’s my mom’s birthday, and I heard a rumor that Pope Benedict XVI is going to formally recognize the miracle needed for the beatification of Pope John Paul II. That would be awesome. In fact, it would make this past week of living in a desolate frozen wasteland winter wonderland worth it.
