Forty-Five Years And Counting

I have the best family ever. All the items you see in this photo were handmade for my birthday.

Gidget made the sleeping pants in the middle of the photo, Joseph did the printing on the two shirts by hand with a stencil, and Jacob cut out the fabric for the bear and stuffed it. The biggest surprise, however, came from Joshua who made the quilt everything else is sitting on. He cut the fabric, he pinned it all together, and he sewed the entire thing too.

Later today we’re going on a camera club field trip to see the Festival of Lights parade in Newnan and we’ll be out in the cold for a while so it will be nice to come home climb into some warm sleeping clothes, crawl under the quilt, and cuddle that nice warm teddy bear. I don’t remember ever owning an actual teddy bear.

And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years
