Tonight I have a lot on my mind, but I am too tired to let any of it out through the keyboard.
We spent the day running errands and getting all the last items we needed in order to start our homeschool year.
Our first stop was Barnes & Noble where the kids turned in their summer reading lists, and because they each read 8 books this summer, they got to pick a free book from the selection at the store. The youngest read five chapters of his new book while were out running the remaining errands.
We stopped at Staples to look at small computer/laptop tables so they would have somewhere to put their old laptops this year. Things just were not fitting on their existing desks. Tomorrow we’ll be cleaning and organizing the classroom and making room for the new “desks”. Well, Gidget will be cleaning things up, while I assemble all the new desks.
After what seemed an eternity (and a quick trip home to drop off that load of stuff), we made a quick trip to Wal-Mart for a small rug and some bean bag chairs (they’re cute, I’ll have to take a photo of them tomorrow).
When they start school again this coming week, they will have everything they need in their homeschool classroom, and this year looks to be an exciting one.
I’ll post more tomorrow, after I have rested. I want to talk about a couple things in the health care bill that relate to homeschoolers, as well as a few other things.
