So much for the photo walk. It rained all day! I can usually count on the local weather teams to be wrong 50% of the time, but they were dead on this weekend. We had rain. Rain, rain, and more rain. In fact, it’s going to rain again in about 6 hours.
Because of the rain, we spent most of the day indoors. Gidget spent the afternoon and evening organizing her desk area. Now that her mom’s treatment is finished, she won’t have to drive over there everyday, so she figured it was time to organize all the stuff she has let pile up for the past six weeks.
Before she got too heavy into cleaning, we went over and visited my mom and her dog, Chloe, for a bit. That’s Chloe in the little photo. She is a weird dog. She licks constantly, but she’s adorable. We dropped off two dozen Banana Nut Muffins for my mom and her neighbor, from our 8 batch banana nut muffin marathon we had a couple weeks ago. Our deep freezer has made sure the muffins were “just baked” fresh when we delivered them today.
The kids spent the afternoon watching Spiderman 2 and Spiderman 3, and I spent some time searching through my job posts from the weekend and cleaning up my desk a bit.
I have decided to resurrect my photoblog, although the domain I used to have has been taken by a squatter who thinks he can make money from it, so I will be registering a new domain name to house the new photoblog. I should have it up and running in a few days, complete with my old photos (if I can find the backup I made before I took it down).
That’s it for tonight, I have some more stuff I want to get done before calling it a night, and it’s getting quite late.
If by experiencing or observing something we automatically contextualise it and thus alter it, then how can we ever now what exactly is the nature of it?– Friedrich Nietzche
