I sure didn’t get much rest for a Saturday.
It all started last night when I tried to go to sleep. I finished watching Ghost Whisperer (yes, I know, but I really like that show) and Conner Chronicles around 2:30 or so and turned off the television. Just as I fell asleep, I suffered from a bout of acid reflux that had me awake for 30 more minutes or so.
I started drifting off to sleep again and the damned space heater kept kicking on and off, on and off, over and over again. I’m talking every 45 seconds or so. It was driving me nuts. So I had to get up and switch that off, and climb back into bed.
I woke up again a little after 4 with another bout of acid. Note to self: Never eat a bowl of Cinnamon Chex cereal at 2:00 am ever again. It was almost 5 by the time I fell back asleep and the next think I knew the dog was waking me up (at 5:44) to go outside. What dog waked up in the middle of the night to do his business? Chuck the wonder mutt, that’s who.
I finally got back to sleep sometime after 6:15 (that’s the last time I looked at the clock) and I slept until 10:30 or so.
Then the real work began.
We spent the better part of the afternoon cleaning the house, sweeping the floor, dusting, mopping, doing the dishes, cleaning the kitchen, and putting away laundry.
I don’t know if I mentioned it before or not, but we discovered the RedBox DVD machine at our local grocery store, and we love it. You rent any movie for $1 a night. We had to take one movie back today, and I had reserved another one to pick up when we got there. That $2 was very entertaining if I do say so myself.
Gidget spent part of the evening coloring her hair, and I spent some time discovering new settings on the camera. Check out this photo of my backwards clock using a real slow shutter speed.
I love this camera. I can finally learn to take the type of photographs I have always wanted to take. Bear with me though, I am still quite the amateur. I uploaded a couple new images of Chuck, a nature photo, and I created a new album called Miscellaneous. Check them out in the photo gallery if you get a chance.
It rained all day today and the weather guy says it will rain more tomorrow. I hope that really means that tomorrow will be nice and the boys and I can go on a walking photo shoot at the state park tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed.
