Five Hundred Dollars Later

moonlit.jpgYou’ve heard the saying, “When it rains, it pours.” I spent a lot of money today, a lot more than I wanted too.

Last week I went to get the tires rotated on the truck, they were overdue. The tire guy couldn’t rotate them because the front tires were “worn down” on the inside edge, to the point that metal was starting to show. I didn’t believe him at first, but when I made a run to the store last night I saw the wear as I walked back out to my truck.

I made a few calls and took the truck in to get some new tires that I thought were going to set me back about $300 bucks or so. $476 later I was driving home and all was well with the world. As well as it could be after spending almost five hundred dollars anyway.

I have an interview with a recruiter tomorrow afternoon who knows of several positions I may be interested in applying for, so I will be sitting down with him to see what he might be able to do.

My mother-in-law has two more radiation treatments and then she is finished. I’m glad too, because apparently she’s burnt so bad from it that her entire left side is nothing but raw flesh and she needs time to heel now.

I’m going to cut this short tonight, because I need to focus on some things tonight and get to bed somewhat early (aka before 2am). Hopefully I’ll have a great update to post tomorrow.
