Is Barack Obama eligible to be President of the United States? We still don’t know. If you depend on the mainstream media for your news you probably have no idea what I am talking about.
Numerous requests have been made for Barack Obama to produce a legal, certified copy of his birth certificate to prove he meets the constitutional requirement to serve as President of the United States. He hasn’t responded to any of those requests.
There are rumors, and statements from his own family members, that Mr. Obama was born in Kenya, not the United States. If he was born in Kenya, the citizenship requirements at the time could preclude him from serving as President.
When the questions surrounding his birth first began to circulate, his campaign released a “certificate of live birth”, but that so-called official document has been proven to be false. Why on Earth would his campaign release an altered copy of a certificate of live birth, rather than just reveal an official copy of it, or his birth certificate?
It doesn’t make sense.
The U.S. Constitution states, in Article Two, Section Five,
No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.
The question remains, is Barack Obama a natural born citizen of the United States? The easiest, and most inexpensive way to answer that question is to produce an official copy of his birth certificate. If he was born in Hawaii, like he claims, he can dispel all of the rumors and settle things once and for all by simply producing that document.
Why on Earth have Barack Obama’s lawyers spent $800,000 to avoid producing a $10 document? Do they have something to hide? Is there something about that document they don’t want people to see? We, the American people, need to see that document.
Because, it is our duty as citizens of this country to ensure that we adhere to the U.S. Constitution. There is no wiggle room here. The U.S. Constitution is the foundation of our country and the cornerstone of our legal system. It serves as a beacon to all and provides inalienable rights to all citizens. That beacon shines bright, and we should hold our leaders up to that light. Shouldn’t they be held to a standard of truth? Truth is absolute, and producing an official copy of Barack Obama’s birth certificate would provide that truth, wouldn’t it?
I’ve heard some people say we should stop speculating on something that has already been proven and we should be focusing on the “real issues”. What issues are more important than upholding the U.S. Constitution? There are many lawsuits pending in the courts, and Mr. Obama has yet to produce the required documentation to put this whole issue to rest.
A while back, an official with the State of Hawaii stated that she had “personal seen and verified” Mr. Obama’s birth certificate. President Richard Nixon said he wasn’t a crook, President Bill Clinton said he didn’t have sex with Monica Lewinsky, and my 10th-grade biology teacher said I would never amount to anything. All of them lied, so pardon me if I don’t take the word of one person as evidence that Mr. Obama’s birth certificate does, in fact, exist.
As the saying goes, I’ll believe it when I see it.
Note: A “Certificate of Live Birth”, like the forgery produced by the Obama campaign is not the same as a birth certificate. A Certification of Live Birth is issued within a year of a child’s birth to those who register a birth abroad or one that takes place outside a hospital.
