Soon, we'll be bailing out pension obligations for Detroit, and a host of other industries (American Express is now in line, I understand). You are right, when will they understand government is making the mess bigger (quoted you on my blog---you're a bit more "colorful" in the way you say it than I would be). According to a 2004 study by UCLA economists, the policies intended to help the economy out of the Great Depression--enacted by newly-elected President Franklin Delano Roosevelt--actually extended the depression by 7 years. Unfortunately, while we all feed at the trough, our kids will be the ones cleaning up. Right on target, and things keep piling on.
